A woman is in critical condition after being stabbed at the Chinese Traditional Bun restaurant on Spadina yesterday, and her alleged attacker is in police custody. The victim appears to have been slashed at the neck by a co-worker.

Toronto Police, having alerted the city to the danger of a child abduction in the wake of the sexual assault of a four-year-old girl, now have a new problem: trying to calm down frightened parents in the same neighbourhood. Accordingly, they've beefed up patrols in the Bathurst and Wilson area.

The Prime Minister of Grenada is calling for an inquiry after a Toronto man died over Christmas. Oscar Bartholomew, 39, was beaten by Grenada police and left in a cell, waiting hours before police called an ambulance.
