Momoko Price works as deputy editor at Toronto's only free evening daily, t.o.night Newspaper, known among its readership primarily for its tightly edited news section and utterly ridiculous, always entertaining Shout Out section. Every weekday, she gets up at 4:30 a.m. and gives birth to 20 pages of news and culture before you've taken your lunchbreak.

While the stories that run in t.o.night rarely exceed 500 words, Momoko herself feels most at home pursuing somewhat overly ambitious feature-length stories on arcane topics, especially in the realm of sociology, psychology and culture. Hopefully she'll find time to try her hand at those again soon.

Momoko's academic background is actually in evolutionary biology; she officially switched over to her true love — writing and editing — working as a copy editor and freelance writer at the Toronto Star for a year. It was the best decision she ever made.
